  “We just want what’s best for you.” Torger glanced toward the bathroom as the shower shut off. “Seriously, though, I think you’re letting what happened with Thad cloud your judgment when it comes to Devin. Do the second blood exchange. Plus, think about the fact that there is at least one vampire around here. Turning Devin will help protect him. He’s going to be walking around town with the scent of your blood in his. Do you want him to be vulnerable to a vamp? He could almost be killed like what happened to Waverly or one could use compulsion on him to do something terrible same as happened to Rikki.” He stood, then pulled Kaisa to her feet. “Now get out of here.   She let herself out of the apartment, then walked down the stairs to street level. Outside, Kaisa climbed into her car.
